Friday March 17th we will be having a Combined Youth Group.
Beginning at 6:00 pm. This is a special opportunity to connect with youth from Sherwood Oaks Christian Church in Bloomington, Illinois.

There will be a OCA work day every Saturday through June until camp season,starting at 9:00 am. Come out for the whole day! Lunch is provided. But, if you can only come out for a few hours, that’s great too!
Sunday September 25th we will be having our third “Great Lakes Sunday”. Great Lakes College is an International Preparatory School with students from all over the world. The purpose of Great Lakes Sunday is to welcome our international students and invite them into our community and fellowship. As a local congregation made up of people from all over the world, we know what it feels like to move to Canada, so let’s give them a warm welcome and some warm food as well as we will be also having a potluck!
NOTE: OCC has been cancelled this year due to DC3’s facilities being no longer available as the venue.
This year’s Ontario Christian Conference promises to build on last years’ success with fantastic speakers, great workshops and lots of opportunity for fellowship and connecting.

Dear Attenders at Keele: We have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that we have finished paying off our loan for the new roof on our addition. The bad news is that we have to finally, after over 100 years, replace the slate roof on the original building. Unfortunately the slate has become a danger and we can no longer repair it.
As a result we asked for quotes from various roofers and have been in talks with the city since the building is listed as a heritage property, this past Sunday (June 21) we made our decision and we are going to have the same steel roof installed that we used on the addition. In order to do that, we are going to have the slate removed. The cost is going to be close to $50,000. We know this is a large expense, but it is also an inescapable expense. Please be praying about how you can support this new project and help keep the property both safe and in good repair.
As of the end of May we have raised $23,320.00! Praise the Lord and everyone who has been so generous!

Discovery Community Christian Church

This year Keele Street Christian Church is 125 years old! God is faithful and so are God’s people! On the anniversary of the church we are going to have a special celebration which will include a special offering for our new roof.
In order to mark the occasion, the plan is to provide T-shirts to everyone who contributes and we will also let you eat cake!
Keele is still here because God is faithful and He enables His people to be faithful. Now is OUR season to be faithful! May we continue to honour Christ and those who have served in this congregation throughout the past 125 years!
